Shobha Poudel PhD

Shobha Poudel, Managing Director at Science Hub Nepal, completed her PhD in Global Environmental Studies from Kyoto University, Japan. She has a several years of interdisciplinary research experience in climate change adaptation, vulnerability assessment, food security, community resilience and environmental economics. She is serving as a Contributing Author, Food Production System and Food Security Asia Chapter, IPCC WGII Sixth Assessment Report. She did her Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies and worked in a commercial bank for almost three years. Besides that, she worked with private sectors and NGOs in Nepal. She is a recipient of Early Career Women Scientists Fellowships from Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), TWAS, UNESCO. She has published several research papers and book chapters as well as she voluntarily reviews scientific articles in number of reputed journals.
